Classic Service

A Contemplative Worship Experience

This service, from 10:45-11:45 a.m., is conducted with more formal language in prayer, hymns written anywhere from the 1800’s to the 1970’s, and organ music. With church service forms that have been used in American churches through most of the 20th Century, the classic service elements provide a contemplative worship experience. It has the look and feel of what most Protestants think of as “church” since worship has been done this way since the early part of the 20th Century; thus, it’s a “classic.” The music is lead by our resident organist, Pat Finnegan with the musical tones of Lindsay Moy, a classically trained operatic singer. The sermon is preached by the same pastor who leads AliveTime that day.
