Weddings are just one of the important life events that First Meridian Heights is prepared to share with you.
Acts 10:34-35 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
34 Peter then said: “Now I am certain that God treats all people alike. 35 God is pleased with everyone who worships him and does right, no matter what nation they come from.”
In the spirit of vitality, graciousness, and love, FMHPC welcomes all couples who seek spiritual growth and a community of faith. First-Meridian Heights helps couples prepare for marriage and journeys with couples through all stages of marriage. If you are considering using our church for your wedding ceremony, we encourage you to visit any Sunday, as well as setting up a meeting with our church wedding coordinator.

Baptism is the sign and seal of becoming part of the community of Jesus Christ. In baptism the gathered church publicly recognizes and celebrates that the one being baptized is ‘a beloved Child of God’, marked forever by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Baptism is open to all who claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and wish to join in the membership of First Meridian Heights. We believe in baptism for infants, children, youth, and adults.
If you wish for your child to be baptized, we typically ask that at least one parent is a member of the church. When a child is baptized, her/his parent(s) answer the questions of faith for their child and promise to raise him/her in the church. When the child reaches sixth grade, s/he is invited to “confirm” the promises made by her/his parent(s) by participating in a Confirmation Class and officially joining in the membership of the congregation.
All those interested in learning more about the sacrament of baptism are invited to call the church office to discuss details. Please click here to download the child’s baptism application.
Confirmation is the process through which the youth join the church. Youth are given the opportunity to “confirm” what their parents claimed on their behalf in baptism–that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. We invite youth in 6th grade and older to join this class, which is held from 11-noon on seven Sundays from January to May.
Losing a loved one is never easy. We hope to help in this difficult time by providing support and care, and by creating a meaningful service to celebrate the loved one’s life and to worship God.
